What is a Solar Citizen?

A Solar Citizen is a person who embraces change and actively contributes to a more sustainable future at both a personal and community level.

This person is taking positive action and making smart choices to help solve our environmental energy problems for the future – future generations and the future of our planet.

How do I become one?

Becoming an Adelaide Solar Citizen is easy!  Just purchase an Adelaide Solar City product or service.

It’s affordable and within everyone’s reach - Adelaide Solar City has products priced from nothing at all! Sign up for both green electricity and gas for no additional cost. Signing up for just green electricity only costs $1 more per week.

What’s in it for me?

You will be making a major contribution to a Brighter Future. Adelaide Solar Citizens will enjoy the benefits from the products and services they have purchased via the program including discounts and other savings.  They will be part of a community striving for a better future.

What if I can’t currently access one of the products being offered?

If you can’t currently access an Adelaide Solar City product or service you can still be part of the solution through smart energy practices. 

You can complete a self audit to find out how energy efficient you are.   Self audit kits will be available at Council libraries in Salisbury, Playford, Tea Tree Gully in the near future.  Additionally, check out our range of energy efficiency tips.

By becoming more energy efficient you can reduce your energy usage and save money. And with the savings realised, you'll may be able to afford to purchase one of the many ASC products or services, starting from as low as $1 extra per week for a Green Energy product.

You can also become a community advocate for the Adelaide Solar City Program by encouraging your neighbours, friends, street, club or school to take part in the Solar City Program.
