ISES Solar World Congress 2009, Johannesburg, South Africa

Mr Dario De Bortoli, Adelaide Solar City Project Manager, submitted a paper titled Innovative Solutions to Engage Consumers and Faciliate Behavioural Change which was presented at the Solar World Congress 2009 in October.

Solar Cities Forum 2009  

A key objective of the Solar Cities trial is to identify and implement options for addressing barriers to distributed solar generation, energy efficiency and electricity demand managment.

The challenges and learnings collected throughout the Solar Cities trial will help to understand the nature and extent of barriers to take up of solar city offerings, along with the economic and environmental impacts of the overall project.

The Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts recently held the 2009 Solar Cities Forum in Canberra.  All seven Solar Cities were invited to present on progress made and provided an opportunity to share ideas and learnings.
