What has been achieved in the trial so far?
Community support and participation is vital to ensuring the Adelaide Solar City project is a sucess.
Below is a snapshot of the success we've achieved with the help of the trial community.
- 879 home energy audits conducted, trial now concluded
- 125 ceiling insulation packags installed, trial now concluded
- 850 smart meters installed in residential homes
- 350 solar power (PV) systems installed in residential homes
- 8 Business Energy Efficiency Programs conducted
- 6 key solar PV installations installed on key buildings throughout the trial area

We’d like to thank the 879 households who showed their commitment to learning how to reduce their energy and greenhouse gas emissions at home. These households received a personalised in-home energy assessment from Big Switch Projects and energy efficiency equipment valued up to $130.
The purpose of the trial was to help households reduce their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions while learning more about resident’s energy attitudes and behaviours.
